Leg vise, deadman and gap stop were cherry (tried to keep all the workholding areas in cherry plus it seemed to be the right balance aesthetically).Donnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2430989134966768004.post-37722771650905076892011-12-22T06:12:57.437-06:002011-12-22T06:12:57.437-06:00Don:

I'm thrilled to see that the US still has metal and woodworking craftsmen who produce vises and benches of this quality.Christopher Hawkinsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2430989134966768004.post-85493716518254838372011-12-18T18:08:29.255-06:002011-12-18T18:08:29.255-06:00Thanks Don.Thanks Don.Jameel Abrahamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15083855284894791544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2430989134966768004.post-5746362589332087582011-12-18T10:38:11.298-06:002011-12-18T10:38:11.298-06:00It is a little fuzzy. But in order to achieve the full benchcrafted experience I am currently making the Moxon vise, replete with lambs tongue stop chamfers and 45 degree carve out in the middle, and also, thanks to the below from Romania, some decorative ends for the stationary vise. It is, after all, one of the three essential vises.<br />I also gave Jameel a closeup pic of the tail vise end: the cherry end block and maple condor tails are a nice contrast. This stuff is habit forming! Three cheers to Benchcrafted for making these modern day classics available.Donnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2430989134966768004.post-49010804030305781932011-12-17T19:39:37.049-06:002011-12-17T19:39:37.049-06:00I LOVE WORKBENCHES!
