An unforgettable weekend. Amazing moments, incredible people. We are all humbled beyond measure.
As expected, we personally had no time to buy tools. But we did take home a pretty special souvenir: Calypso's Gift!
Thanks to Patrick Leach and Roy Underhill.
More photos after we recover, and video of Roy's talk to come later in the week.
Thank you everyone!
Thanks so much for putting this on. Truly a unique and wonderful event. I really enjoyed meeting you, and talking in depth with you and so many people that share the passion of woodworking and amazing tools. I suspect that after each of these, the craft has surged forward both from renewed zeal and the innovation of freely shared ideas.
ReplyDeleteI'm counting down till Handworks 2017. Saturday was a great day. And as it's been said, it won't happen like this again.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the FIRST post mortem announcement! I have been patiently waiting. I just knew it would be a success! I

ReplyDeleteNothing sort of spectacular! Thank you very much for all your efforts in pulling such a great event together. I look forward to another in the future.
ReplyDeleteI was at 2013 and 2015 was even better! And seeing Roy Underhill was awesome! Thank you so much for putting on these Handworks events. Can't wait for the recording of Roy's talk! I had it on my phone and my phone crashed before it saved to my PC at home. So Thank you for posting. I am sure your recording will be better. Steve

I bought great tools, and I still have business cards from vendors of tools I need to purchase (I need to buy food once in a while too). It isn't over. Thanks for the post Jameel.
